Jatropha Plantation

Jatropha is an oil yielding crop and identified as a source for bio-diesel. It grows well throughout India.

PURPOSE :

The financial assistance will be provided for Jatropha plantation which may be combined with credit for development of wasteland.

ELIGIBILITY :
  • Individual farmers or group of farmers
  • Public Sector Undertakings or private firms desirous of seeking financial assistance for Jatropha plantation.
NATURE OF LOAN :

Medium term loan for the development of plantation and cash credit for the cropping operations which, inter alia, includes intercropping.

EXTENT OF LOAN:

Based on the project report details.

REPAYMENT OF LOAN:

A grace period of four years for repayment of principal and two years for payment of interest is allowed. The loan shall be repayable in 8 years including the grace period.
